Overview
Kestrel Logistics is a freight company based in Chicago. Their leadership team made decisions from reports that were already days old by the time they arrived. They asked us to give them one live view of the business.

Challenge
Every Monday, three people spent half a day building the report that was already out of date.
Shipment data lived in a tracking system, a billing tool, and a pile of spreadsheets. Analysts exported each one, pasted everything into a master file, and fixed mismatched numbers by hand. Managers got the report on Tuesday, and by then late deliveries had already turned into unhappy customers. Each team also kept its own version of the numbers, so meetings often started with an argument about which one was right.

Solution
Every team now works from one live dashboard that updates on its own.
We connected the tracking system, billing tool, and spreadsheets to a single data layer that syncs every few minutes. Then we built dashboards for operations, finance, and leadership, each showing only the numbers that team acts on. Alerts flag delayed shipments and unusual costs as they happen, so problems get fixed the same day.

Kestrel now makes decisions on today’s numbers, not last week’s. The Monday report is gone, and the team has about 12 hours a week back for analysis instead of assembly. Everyone sees the same figures, so meetings start with the answer.
New data sources can be added to the same setup without rebuilding the dashboards. Analysts spend their time spotting trends and fixing root causes, and managers no longer wait for a report to know how the week is going.
